Jekko at Bauma 2025: Innovation, Connections and a Stand Full of Lifting Heroes
Jekko returned to Bauma 2025 with a strong presence, a series of exciting product launches and a stand that turned heads for all the right reasons. With thousands of visitors stopping by to explore the latest in mini crane technology, Jekko once again confirmed its role as the key innovator in the sector.
A Hub of Innovation and Interaction
The Jekko stand became a magnet for industry professionals from across the world. Welcoming both long-standing partners and new faces, the space reflected the core of Jekko’s identity: innovation, practicality and Italian elegance.
“We’ve had incredible feedback from dealers and customers alike,” said Diego Tomasella, Jekko CEO. “Our commitment to developing cutting-edge lifting solutions that truly meet the needs of operators in the field was evident in every conversation. Bauma is always a key moment for our team – this year proved especially energising.”
New Product Launches: Versatile, Powerful, Smarter
“The new products presented this year follow the key trends: technological upgrades to the beloved existing models, increased electrification, smart fleet management, and the introduction of totally new product families. We had plenty to talk about.” Says Alberto Franceschini, Jekko Sales Director.
Among the numerous innovations, the most important and appreciated were:
SPX328 EVO+ with Integrated Electric Jib – It’s the introduction of a totally brand-new concept of tool/crane integration. The electric jib is powered by the machine battery, is controlled by the crane radio control and integrated on its LMI.
SPX532.2 – An evolution of Jekko’s much-loved SPX532 model. The 532.2 brings a sleek new interface with an intuitive touch display, providing all key data at a glance. A new stability system with mechanical, hydraulic and software updates offers a better capacity in reduced stability conditions; a variable speed motor management ensures a lower consumption. Built for performance, upgraded for ease-of-use.
TRX32 – The first Jekko Truck Crane. This 3.5-ton compact truck – for standard Category B driving license – mounts a SPX532’s mini crane boom, offering the mobility of an industrial vehicle with the power, reach and flexibility of a 17-
metre mini crane.
JCX80 – A revolutionary Telescopic Crawler Crane. A mini crane with a counterweighted base on robust tracks, a mobile turret and a boom that operates up to 90°, perfect for overcoming tight angles and spatial obstacles. With no outriggers, it’s built for precision in the narrowest conditions.
Each model reflects Jekko’s mission of continuous research on new adaptable, compact lifting machines that solve real-world job site challenges.
Winners in Innovation
Jekko stand was also the stage for the innovative MAXX – Mobile Assembly X-System project that Construction Robotics GmbH of RWTH Aachen University has been working on in collaboration with Jekko, KUKA and Fundermax, major players in the construction and automation sector. This groundbreaking initiative brings automation concepts into construction sites, aiming to improve efficiency and safety on jobsites. MAXX is a project for automatic scaffold-free façade-panels application, where a robot, equipped with a specialized multi-sensor system, precisely positions façade panels and directly communicates with the Jekko crane via 5G, with seamless robot-crane interaction.
Among a list of 209 candidates across five categories, MAXX emerged as the winner of the prestigious Bauma Innovation Award 2025 in the Research category.
“This is a very important recognition for the team and demonstrates Jekko’s active involvement to basic research and exploration of new ideas that really can transform the construction industry in the long term. The potential is enormous and scalable across multiple sectors. We are proud to contribute to this innovation, and be part of the future” declares Diego Tomasella, Jekko CEO.
Expanding the Global Network
With over 600,000 attendees at this edition of Bauma, the response at Jekko’s stand was a clear sign of the brand’s continued growth. The company’s dealer network has been steadily expanding, with new partnerships announced across Europe, America, and Asia.
“We’re seeing more and more markets opening up to mini cranes and pick-and-carry solutions,” said Alberto Franceschini, Sales Director at Jekko. “The response to our new range was overwhelmingly positive – particularly among dealers looking for reliability, versatility and compact power. It’s an exciting time to be in this space.”
A Space to Feel at Home
Beyond the machines and tech, the Jekko stand – designed and built by the Italian Henoto – stood out for its warm, open and inviting design.
“We wanted people to feel like they were entering our home,” said Valentina Chiarotto, Jekko Marketing Manager. “The feedback from our guests has been great – people appreciated the friendliness, the design, and the touch of Italian style we brought to the stand. It’s been more than just a display of products; it was a meeting point for the lifting community. Sustainability was also a key focus on the stand project: built entirely from reusable materials, it is a proof that even trade shows, which typically generate massive waste, can become more sustainable if companies have the right commitment.”
Looking Ahead
With new projects on the horizon and fresh energy from Bauma, Jekko is already looking to the future. Feedback gathered during the exhibition will inform future innovations, helping shape the next generation of lifting solutions.
As the company continues to strengthen its position in key markets and open new ones, the message from Munich was clear:
Jekko is here, it’s growing, and it’s #MadeForLiftingHeroes.

The Company offers full sales, service, and technical consulting for the whole Jekko range
The JDL trade fair will be the perfect stage for the official launch of JEKKO FRANCE, the new Company established to distribute the entire Jekko range in France.
The Company is shared by Matelev and CTELM Group, the French holding of Fassi Group, and will be managed by Frederic Leclerc and Johanna Leclerc, who are widely known in the crane market as experienced and competent professionals.
From its headquarters based in Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry, Île-de-France, Jekko France will offer a full spectrum of services, including expert sales guidance, top-tier maintenance, and specialized technical consulting for the whole Jekko range, that spans from SPX mini cranes (2.8-8 ton) to JF knuckle boom crawler cranes (6.1-21.5 ton) and MPK minipickers (0.6-5 ton).
In addition to supplying top-tier products, Jekko France is committed to delivering comprehensive services that encompass sales, service, and consulting. The company’s sales team provides expert guidance to help customers choose the best equipment for their exact requirements. Jekko France’s service department ensures that all machineries are maintained in optimal condition, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Frederic Leclerc, Jekko France Chairman, comments “After several years of partnership between Fassi France and Matelev for the distribution of the Jekko brand, we are happy and excited to announce the creation of Jekko France. An alliance confirmed between Matelev and the Fassi Group in France to better respond to the French market and further develop the Jekko brand on our territory”.
Arnaud Thieulin, director of the CTELM Group, comments “We are delighted to be able to continue developing the Jekko brand in France through this strong partnership. The creation of a dedicated joint entity with Matelev demonstrates the confidence we have in this brand and our strong ambition for the years to come.”
“The truck-mounted crane sector is very large in terms of numbers, wider than the mini crane sector.” Alberto Franceschini, Jekko Sales Director, said. “For years we have been very well represented initially by Miltra and then by Fassi France, which has a brand with an unquestionable reputation and is present in such a large market. This has allowed us to make ourselves known and make good use of the popularity of the Fassi brand.
In recent years Jekko has grown a lot in terms of popularity and quantity of machines produced. In a growing sector like that of mini cranes, with a different commercial logic from that of truck-mounted cranes, we felt that now was the right time for Jekko to redefine the brand positioning, separating it from the previous organisation.
We are sure that this will give greater prominence to our product, which in this way will be independent to move in the French market, trying to promote Jekko at a more capillary and sectorial level, which is fundamental for a product that is still a niche such as mini cranes.
We look forward to welcoming you at our next two events in France. First, join us on 18th and 19th September at Salonvert, where we’ll be at stand 27. Shortly after, from 25th to 27th September, we’ll be at the JDL Expo in Beaune, at the Jekko France stand A4 in the outdoor area.
JF545.2: welcome to the newcomer to the Jekko range
JF545.2 has arrived. The new model in the Jekko range of knuckle boom crawler cranes brings with it all the features that have made JF545 one of the most beloved models in the product portfolio, with in addition major upgrades further increasing performances and usability.
Let’s start with the new Variable Speed Engine Management. It ensures accurate engine control for better movements control and reduced consumption. The crane movements are faster, more precise and smoother. Overall engine efficiency is improved with lower fuel consumption; in addition, the Operator can choose from three working modes – Eco / Normal / Power – that differently combine power output and consumption. All engine operative info, as rpm, fuel level and residual autonomy are fully available on the crane main display.
All this information, as well as all crane-related information, is shown on the new 7” touch screen display. This new control panel, IP66 waterproof, features an intuitive interface and a wider set of functions.
In terms of structure, the outriggers hydraulic system has been redesigned, resulting in an improved precision in crane positioning.
A dedicated electric cooler for hydraulic oil has been implemented, to maintain an optimal oil temperature, increasing system performance and reliability. The crane is fitting a new DPF filter with automatic management to minimize emissions. As optional especially designed for low-temperature countries, a pre-heating kit manages the oil warm up to have the crane immediately ready for use in all conditions.
