Work on site without polluting? At Jekko, the future isn’t coming — it’s already here.
For over 10 years, we’ve embraced lithium battery technology — offering the widest range of eco-friendly, efficient, and quiet mini cranes that are perfect for working in confined indoor spaces.
Our battery-powered electric mini cranes deliver the same lifting performance as diesel models, with extended battery autonomy for a full day’s work.
No harmful emissions during operation — ideal for indoor sites (private and commercial buildings, offices, industrial facilities, hospitals), historic centres, or environmental restriction zones where air quality and cleanliness are essential.
Battery-powered cranes deliver ultra-quiet performance, perfect for projects near workers, in urban environments, commercial spaces, nature areas, or enclosed facilities.
With normal work cycles, the lithium battery provides at least a full day of operation. Lithium technology also allows on-board charging during use for continuous work.
Compared to diesel-powered equivalents, battery cranes have significantly lower operating costs and simplified maintenance — no engine servicing and less stress on hydraulic systems.
Our lithium batteries are equipped with an integrated Battery Management System (BMS) — an internal computer that monitors and optimizes energy, preserves cell health, and prevents hazardous conditions.
Jekko’s battery-powered models match the lifting features and performance of their diesel counterparts.
Jekko has over 10 years of experience in producing machines equipped with lithium batteries. Since then, technology in this sector has advanced rapidly, offering batteries that are increasingly safe, powerful, and long-lasting.
Jekko uses only latest-generation Made in Italy lithium batteries, developed in partnership between the Jekko Innovation Center and the battery manufacturer.
The batteries are monitored by a Battery Management System (BMS) specifically developed for Jekko. The BMS, fully integrated into the crane’s electronics, is an internal computer that continuously monitors and optimizes performance and available energy. This electronic system can prevent potentially dangerous conditions such as overcurrent and deep discharge. In this way, the risk of damage or malfunction due to improper use is completely eliminated, and the battery’s service life is significantly extended.
Technological evolution has given us lithium batteries that are increasingly powerful while remaining compact. Battery capacities are always selected based on the type of machine, ensuring — considering an average work cycle — an autonomy of at least 8 hours on site. Additionally, the ECO mode reduces working speeds, resulting in further energy savings and extending operational autonomy.
The integrated Battery Monitoring System (BMS) continuously monitors the charge status and informs the operator of the remaining working hours according to the selected mode.
When it’s time to recharge, the charging speed can be chosen by the user based on the available current. Jekko cranes, depending on the model, can be charged with single-phase (230V), three-phase (400V), or Type 2 chargers. For example, the SPX328 model can reach 0–80% charge in just 3 hours.
Unlike lead-acid batteries, lithium technology offers another important advantage: it allows the crane to continue operating even while the batteries are being charged, enabling uninterrupted work on site.
