Jekko Mini Crane Flown by Helicopter to a Mountain Refuge in the Italian Dolomites

Some lifting projects begin where the road ends.

Jekko, together with its customer NMG Italia, has successfully completed a remarkable high-altitude operation in the Italian Dolomites, transporting and commissioning a Jekko mini crane at a remote mountain refuge accessible only by helicopter.

The project required the crane to be completely dismantled, prepared for air transport and flown to the refuge in individual modules before being reassembled and commissioned on site. The entire operation was completed over two carefully planned days, combining engineering expertise, precise logistics and close teamwork.

More than simply an impressive transport operation, the project demonstrates one of the distinctive advantages of Jekko compact lifting solutions: modular engineering designed to simplify transportation and installation in locations where conventional machinery cannot operate.

Whether working in urban centres, industrial facilities or high-altitude environments, Jekko mini cranes are developed to deliver lifting performance without compromising accessibility, flexibility or ease of transport.

The operation was carried out by NMG Italia, whose experienced team managed every stage of the dismantling, helicopter transport, reassembly and commissioning with outstanding professionalism.

This project highlights how innovative engineering and specialist expertise can expand the possibilities of lifting, even in some of the most challenging environments.
