Jekko announces its participation in FraimWork, a European consortium established to develop new digital, industrialized and sustainable solutions for the deep renovation of buildings. Through FraimWork, Jekko will collaborate with companies, universities, research centres and European technology partners to contribute to the development of a new, more industrialized, digital and sustainable construction model.
Funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme, FraimWork — preFabricated deep Renovation with a modulAr Intelligent fraMe driven by autOmated and stReamlined worKflows — aims to transform the way small-scale buildings are renovated, making interventions faster, more efficient, more accessible and replicable.
The project addresses the need to accelerate the renovation of Europe’s building stock, which often consists of buildings that are difficult to standardize and complex to upgrade using traditional methods. FraimWork proposes a new approach based on modular prefabricated elements, BIM digital tools, automation, robotics and new business models.
Among the main innovations are the development of a digital infrastructure to connect design, production, logistics and on-site installation, the use of circular prefabricated components for the building envelope, and the adoption of advanced technologies to support the positioning and installation of elements.
“Jekko mini cranes and lifting systems can make a concrete contribution during the handling and installation phases of prefabricated elements, especially in urban environments, jobsites with limited access and renovation projects where precision, compactness and reduced operational impact are essential. Jekko’s participation in the FraimWork consortium perfectly reflects the company’s vision, which has always been focused on developing compact, innovative and sustainable lifting solutions for complex spaces.”

Through this participation, Jekko confirms its commitment to promoting technologies capable of making living in better, healthier and more efficient environments increasingly accessible, while contributing to the sustainable transition of the European construction sector.
