Jekko Launches TRX80: Compact 8-Ton Truck-Mounted Minicrane for Confined Spaces
Jekko expands its product range with the launch of the TRX80 truck-mounted minicrane, a compact 8-ton crane designed to deliver high performance in complex operating environments and confined spaces. Mounted on a compact 2-axle truck, the TRX80 combines an 8-ton lifting capacity with a maximum outreach of 27.2 metres, while maintaining extremely compact dimensions, with the crane fully contained within the vehicle’s footprint. This compactness, combined with a crane module weight under 8 tons, allows the TRX80 to operate even on lightweight surfaces and in areas with restricted access. It is the ideal solution for fast lifting operations, such as: Installation of steel or timber structures Positioning of HVAC units Various construction and industrial lifting applications One of the key features of the TRX80 is its fully electric crane operation, powered by a 48V lithium battery capable of ensuring a full working day. The battery can be recharged via the vehicle’s Power Take-Off (PTO) or through an external power supply, both single-phase and three-phase, offering maximum operational flexibility while reducing environmental impact. Stability is ensured by hydraulic outriggers with fully stepless extension and rotation, allowing infinite positioning configurations even in the most confined spaces, with a maximum footprint of 4.6 x 4.6 metres. Integrated pressure sensors on each outrigger enable continuous monitoring of the ground load, ensuring safe operation even on sensitive surfaces. In terms of performance, the TRX80 achieves: Main boom reach: 20 metres Maximum jib reach: 27.2 metres Maximum working radius: 24.3 metres The crane can operate with a main boom, a 3,500 kg runner jib, or a 1,500 kg hydraulic jib, all easily installable without the need for external equipment. The jib also allows negative angle operation down to -60°, further increasing operational versatility. Like all Jekko minicranes, the TRX80 is equipped with an advanced safety system featuring a full Load Moment Indicator (LMI), which optimizes lifting performance based on real stability conditions and provides real-time visual feedback to the operator. Ease of use is ensured by the proportional radio remote control and the 7” onboard touchscreen display, which provide real-time visualization of the load chart and stability area, with dynamic recalculation during operation. The system also integrates interactive assistance, self-diagnosis, and troubleshooting functions, helping to reduce downtime and improve overall efficiency. With the TRX80, Jekko introduces a solution that redefines the concept of truck-mounted minicranes, combining compactness, sustainability, safety, and performance to meet the demands of a market increasingly focused on fast, precise, and low-impact operations. The TRX80 will be premiered on the market at the Smopyc exhibition in Zaragoza, at the Transgruas stand (AES23), from April 15 to 18. 🎥 Watch the TRX80 in action: TRX80 Video

A decade of trust, innovation, and shared growth in the German lifting industry From left to right: Carsten Bielefeld, Diego Tomasella, Maik Buchtmann, Alberto Franceschini. In 2025 Jekko and NordKran proudly celebrate 10 years of partnership, marking a decade defined by collaboration, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to bringing cutting-edge lifting solutions to the German market. As a tribute to this journey, NordKran welcomed a new special custom red anniversary SPX532.2. “The birth of NordKran GmbH is dated 2015, even if the start of the collaboration with Jekko is dated 2 years before with my first sale of SPX1040 minicrane to its father company Buchtmann GmbH, directed by Willi Buchtmann” remembers Alberto Franceschini, Jekko Sales Director. “What began as a single machine delivery has grown into one of the most successful and influential collaborations in Jekko’s international network.” Under the leadership of Maik Buchtmann and Carsten Bielefeld, current CEO of Jekko Deutschland, NordKran rapidly became responsible for Jekko sales across the entire German market. The partnership evolved once again in 2020, when the Jekko subsidiary Jekko Deutschland was officially established to directly serve the German market. From that moment on, NordKran sharpened its efforts on the northern German region, where it continues to represent Jekko with passion, competence, and a deep understanding of customer needs. During these 10 years of partnership, NordKran has successfully delivered well over 100 Jekko minicranes to key customers active in glass handling, steel construction, tunnel contruction, plant construction and industrial mainteinance, contributing decisively to the brand’s reputation for quality and innovation throughout the country. From its Delmenhorst–Bremen headquarters, dedicated teams manage new and used sales, as well as machinery rental. A wide technical network widely spread over the Country offers fast and comprehensive aftersales assistance to customers. “Being part of this journey for ten years is something I value deeply,” says Maik Buchtmann. “I’m proud of everything we have achieved in Germany and excited for many more successful years together.” Carsten Bielefeld, CEO of Jekko Deutschland, adds “At Jekko, we share this sentiment. The partnership with NordKran has been essential to building a strong market presence in Germany — one of the most important regions for our global growth. Their competence and commitment give customers a partner they know they can trust.”  About Jekko Jekko is a world leader in the design and manufacture of Lift&Handling machinery. Energy Efficiency Efficiency has also taken a big step forward. Both the battery-powered and Diesel versions are equipped with a new variable-speed engine, which significantly extends battery autonomy (up to +30%) or reduces fuel consumption, depending on the configuration. The engine also ensures lower noise levels and faster, more responsive crane movements (+15% speed increase). Advanced user experience Operator experience has been a key focus. Jekko continues to expand the intuitive interface – first introduced with the SPX328 and finalist at the UX Design Award – across its latest models. The onboard 7’’ IP66 touchscreen display provides real-time, comprehensive operational and diagnostic information. Navigation is simple and intuitive, with built-in interactive assistance guiding operators during use. Self-diagnosis and troubleshooting functions ensure quick maintenance and minimize downtime. Completing the package is the brand-new radio remote control, offering intuitive and complete management of all crane functions. Configurable for Every Job The SPX532.2 can be equipped with a wide range of accessories and attachments to build the perfect crane for any application. Options include hook or winch lifting with different winch options, pulley blocks, hydraulic jib or runner jib, glass manipulators, pipe and beam grabbers, and lifting beams.
